Trailhead

There’s a whole lot more to Dinosaur Valley State Park than dinosaur tracks!

Want to hike, bike, or camp off the beaten path? Check out our trail system with over 17 miles of trails. Wind your way up limestone bluffs, through cedar vistas, and over bubbling streams. Camp in one of the seven primitive sights and enjoy the privacy of the backcountry. Catch a glimpse of the endangered black-capped vireo and golden-cheeked warbler in their native habitats as you hike up in the hills.

Be sure to pick up your trail map at Park Headquarters. The trail system is labeled with different colors and marked with letters of the alphabet at each intersection to help you navigate your way. Always take plenty of water when you hike or bike. Water is available at the trail head, but not up in the trails.

Stay safe and enjoy the other side of Dinosaur Valley State Park!
